At least 14 people were killed, including seven children and two women, as 874 houses collapsed due to heavy rain and flood on Sunday evening at the Kalma camp of South Darfur.<\/p>\n

Hussein Abu Sharati, spokesman for the Association of Displaced Persons and Refugees of Darfur, informed the names of most victims to Radio Dabanga:<\/p>\n

Hawaa Mohamed Hassan, 4, Nasser Adam, 2, Hawaa Abdulaziz Abbakar, 3, Adam Abdul Hadi Abbakar, 2, Rabiye Abdullah Musa, 4, Salah Al Din Ishaq Mohamed, 3, and Halima Suleiman Mohamed, 58. A woman and her child were also killed. The remaining victims have not yet been identified.<\/p>\n

Abu Sharati is asking humanitarian organisations to visit the affected people and provide them first aid, including tarpaulins and food.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that about 150,000 people have been affected by flooding in Sudan this year so far.<\/p>\n

El Salam: child killed<\/strong><\/p>\n

In El Salam camp of South Darfur, Youssef Ibrahim Adam, 14, was killed after a mine exploded while he was playing. The victim’s brother Mohamed Ibrahim Adam, 12, was injured on the same occasion, along with Mohamed Abdel Aziz, 10. <\/p>\n

Sheikh Mahjoub Tabaldiya told Radio Dabanga the accident occurred during the Eid Al Fitr festivities and the children were visiting their families.<\/p>\n

The two injured victims are in critical condition at the hospital. The sheikh appealed to aid agencies and organizations to informe the displaced about the risk of remnants of war.<\/p>\n

Garsila: three children injured<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Pro-government militias on Sunday opened fire on a group of displaced persons celebrating Eid Al Fitr in Garsila camps of Central Darfur. Three children were \u201cseriously injured and transferred to a hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

The wounded children are: Samah Abdullah Yaqoub, 12, and Kindi Abdel Karim, 12. The name of the third victim is still unclear, a displaced man told Radio Dabanga. He said the police has been informed about the incident.<\/p>\n
