The Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) claim to have killed 22 pro-government militiamen, injured others, and destroyed their camps in the Dukan and Al Humbo areas of Geissan locality in Sudan\u2019s Blue Nile state on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Radio Dabanga from the field on behalf of the SRF, the official spokesman for the SPLA-N, Arnu Ngutulu Lodi, has said that the rebels initially ambushed the government militias between Khor El Boudi, Nukulu, and Bashir.<\/p>\n

During the ambush and subsequent destruction of two camps, Lodi claims the militia forces \u201csuffered heavy casualties before being dispersed\u201d, while the rebel forces were able to capture \u201clarge quantities\u201d of weapons, ammunition and medical supplies.”<\/p>\n

Radio Dabanga was unable to independently verify these reports.<\/p>\n

The SRF is a coalition of rebel forces recruiting primarily in Darfur and Kordofan. Its members are the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), the Sudan Liberation Army\/Movement-Abdel Wahid (SLA\/M-AW), the Sudan Liberation Army\/Movement-Minni Minawi (SLA\/M-MM), and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army\/Movement-North (SPLA\/M-N).<\/p>\n
