Three women, including a minor, were reportedly raped in Maguba near to Kabkabiya in North Darfur on Tuesday as a result of an attack by pro-government militias on the village. The incident also left three men injured while two others are \u201cmissing\u201d. <\/p>\n

In a separate incident, two displaced women were allegedly gang raped by militiamen near to Kass in South Darfur.<\/p>\n

A sheikh told Radio Dabanga that militiamen riding camels and horses attacked Maguba village, opening fire on the displaced, who during the rainy season settle down outside the camp for farming.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe three women, including a 16-year old, were raped, while Adam Yahiya, Jabro Abkar Saleh, and Habib Abdullah Musa were injured. Citizens Ibrahim Musa and Yahiya Abdul Molar are both missing since the attack,\u201d the sheikh said. <\/p>\n

He added that the militiamen looted the property and luggage of the displaced before making off with several head of cattle.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe displaced were able to apprehend one of the perpetrators and handed him over to the police,\u201d the sheikh concluded.<\/p>\n

Kass<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the area of Margoum, west of Kass in South Darfur, militiamen allegedly accosted and repeatedly raped two women who were tending a farm.<\/p>\n

A relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga the attack occurred on Tuesday. The men then took turns raping the women all day and only released them on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The relative said that the police have been informed, but they have not yet reacted to search for the culprits.<\/p>\n
