The Sudanese Air Forces (SAF) has allegedly continued bombing Darfur\u2019s East Jebel Marra for the third day in a row, as well as shelling with heavy artillery. Security services have closed the main road between the Zamzam displaced camp and Tabit, leading to Fanga and Dirbat, three days ago.<\/p>\n

Witnesses who fled told Radio Dabanga that on Thursday, MiG fighters and Antonov planes continued their bombardments of the areas of Kira, Sabi and Jabel Korgi, for the third day in a row.<\/p>\n

They said that on Thursday, the shelling continued from 8am till 11am, creating huge fear and leading to most of the residents to flee to the valleys. Others fled to Zamzam camp, near El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.<\/p>\n

The people fleeing the attacks have allegedly been exposed to heavy abuse by security men in the Umm Hashaba region and by Central Reserve Forces (Abu Tira) at the gate of the Zamzam camp.<\/p>\n

Women have been harassed, others were beaten, heavily insulted, and their possessions taken, on the pretext that they are supporting the armed rebel movements.<\/p>\n

The witnesses confirmed the killing of 54 sheep and cattle and 15 camels. They claim that government forces stationed in the Tabit area continued shelling villages and valleys west and north of the town for the third day in a row. The shelling, they said, usually starts at sunset and continues until the early hours of the following day.<\/p>\n
