Four women were allegedly raped and several citizens were injured when militiamen invaded and looted a village in the vicinity of Kabkabiya, North Darfur. <\/p>\n

A resident of Margouba, 13km west of Kabkabiya, said the attack happened at 1am when the alleged perpetrators, riding horses and camels, entered the village.  <\/p>\n

The milititants stole most the livestock and belongings of Margouba’s residents, injured several citizens, three of them seriously, and raped four women. <\/p>\n

The source told Radio Dabanga that all inhabitants of Margouba fled the village to Kabkabiya. He pointed out that this is the second attack on the village in a month.<\/p>\n

In September, gunmen attacked Margouba, raping three women, killing two people and wounding three morte, as well as plundering their property and livestock.<\/p>\n

Margouba is one of the villages to which the displaced have voluntarily returned, in line with the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur. <\/p>\n
