Two men abducted my militiamen in South Darfur, have been released after five days, without any ransom being paid.<\/p>\n

Dr Ahmed Abdallah Ibrahim Fadul, a pharmacist of the hospital of Kass in South Darfur as well as driver Siraj Ahmed Siraj,were released on Wednesday, according to one of the doctor\u2019s relatives.<\/p>\n

Militiamen hijacked the car loaded with medicines last week, 5km from Kass. They abducted the four people on board \u2013 Fadul, Siraj, and two police guards \u2013 and demanded a ransom of SDG2 million ($455,000).<\/p>\n

A relative of one of the abductees confirmed to Radio Dabanga that Fadul and Siraj have been released, and that no ransom was paid, however the two policemen are still being held.<\/p>\n

The employees working at the hospital of Kass went on strike following the abduction, Together with staff of private hospitals and health organisations, in protest against state authorities.<\/p>\n

The demonstrators then presented the Commissioner a memorandum stating they would not resume work until their colleagues were released.<\/p>\n
