The National Consensus Forces (NCF, a coalition of Sudanese opposition parties) have announced the establishment of a special mechanism to \u201cfully coordinate with the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) factions in order to overthrow the Khartoum regime\u201d.<\/p>\n

At a press conference in Khartoum on 13 November, the spokesperson for the NCF, Kamal Omar, stated that the NCF has identified a clear stance regarding the relationship with the SRF rebel groups.<\/p>\n

The NCF members will definitely cooperate with the SRF in order to unequivocally overthrow the regime. Omar noted that the NCF has affirmed the political declaration as presented by the SRF in September. \u201cWe shall continue working on the unification of the opposition, also to overcome the different opinions on the New Dawn Charter, signed earlier this year by most rebel groups and opposition parties.\u201d<\/p>\n

Berlin<\/strong><\/p>\n

The SRF delegation has concluded its three-day visit to Germany. The delegation arrived in Italy on 14 November.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Radio Dabanga from Berlin, Minni Minawi, leader of the Sudan Liberation movement (SLM-MM) and Co-Deputy of the SRF, said the SRF delegation has briefed the German officials, and in particular representatives of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the humanitarian, security and human rights situation in the country, on their policy of a comprehensive solution for the armed conflicts in Sudan, as well as SRF\u2019s vision about the immediate post- regime period.<\/p>\n

Abdel Wahid, leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM-AW) and Co Vice Deputy President of the SRF, described to Radio Dabanga the meeting with the German Foreign Ministry as \u201ca real breakthrough\u201d. \u201cThe meeting tackled the very bad humanitarian situation in Darfur, the Nuba Mountains and the Blue Nile, the continued killings, genocide and the expulsion of organisations that should be allowed to return. We explained that the SRF adheres to a comprehensive solution, instead of several partial peace agreements, such as one for Darfur, another for the South Kordofan or the Blue Nile.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe time has come for the government to stop the genocide, disarm the militias, and let the displaced persons and refugees return in peace to their original villages. They are to be compensated individually and collectively.\u201d<\/p>\n
