He also congratulated the Government of Sudan and the LJM for the commitment and flexibility, both sides have demonstrated during the negotiations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this signing, a new chapter will begin for the LJM. The commencement of disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of their forces will offer new opportunities for many of their troops; whether this is to join the Government forces or to seek a civilian future. It is this future away from war that the DDPD was intended to secure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The implementation of the security arrangements as agreed on in Doha, Qatar, in 2011 have been delayed for quite some time. In April, the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA), created within the framework of the DDPD and tasked with its implementation, declared that the security arrangements were delayed because the LJM was not able to discern the troops who joined the LJM before and after the signing of the peace agreement in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The claims were dismissed by LJM soon after.
