A Sudanese Air Force jet fighter and a Sudanese army artillery unit on Wednesday attacked the areas of Katsha and Farw, south of Kadugli, and Korongo, in the west, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The spokesman for the Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), Arnu Ngutulu Lodi, reported to Radio Dabanga that in the early morning of Wednesday the areas of Katsha and Farw were hit by nine missiles fired from inside Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan. The shelling caused serious damage to the health centre of Katsha.<\/p>\n

At about 10am a MiG fighter struck Katsha again with four bombs. At about the same time, the area of Korongo was bombed.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, four barrel bombs were dropped on Kauda, killing one person and wounding another. A secondary school for girls was damaged.<\/p>\n

Lodi said that apart from destruction, the bombing and shelling caused great fear among the civilians. \u201cThe SPLM-N will not tolerate the regime\u2019s systematic atrocities against unarmed civilians in the SPLM-N controlled areas. We will continue targeting military bases inside Kadugli town, and continue to warn the people to stay away from these bases.\u201d<\/p>\n
