More than 4,000 people in the area of Shangil Tobaya, North Darfur, on Tuesday attended the 40-day commemoration ceremony for the 14 people who died on 20 December last year when the vehicle they were travelling in from Tabit to Shangil Tobaya was bombed by an Antonov.<\/p>\n

Two other passengers were critically injured by the aerial bombardments. They are still in the hospital.<\/p>\n

The relatives of the victims have demanded compensation and that the perpetrators be brought to justice.<\/p>\n

They also demanded the immediate halt of the continuing indiscriminate aerial bombardments on innocent civilians.<\/p>\n
