The Rizeigat and Dinka Malual tribes have agreed to establish a Higher Committee for Peace. The Sudanese Rizeigat are allowed to cross the border with their cattle and enter South Sudan from January until the end of May.<\/p>\n
Both tribes recently held a conference for peaceful coexistence in Northern Bahr El Ghazal, with the support of the governments of Sudan and South Sudan.<\/p>\n
The Rizeigat representative in the conference, Mohamed Benani, told El Sudani<\/em> newspaper that the two tribes agreed to form a High Committee for Peace.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Committee is to rule on disputes between the pastoralists, maintain the standards of compensation sums and blood money, control the parties\u2019 obligation not to carry weapons in public places, and ensure that the livestock are vaccinated before entering South Sudan.\u201d<\/p>\n File photo<\/em><\/p>\n
