The first symptoms appeared in the region on 25&nbsp;December last year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The symptoms of the disease are pain, and spasms, or \u201ctightened nerves\u201d, in various parts of the body, in particular the hands, legs, neck, and the mouth.
