A number of citizens have expressed concern the <em>Janjaweed<\/em> might be supported by money which was collected by the authorities through the imposition of fees on citizens and the deduction of employees&#39; salaries.<\/p>\n<p>The Communist Party has called for an immediate halt to hostilities on all fronts, expulsion of the <em>Janjaweed<\/em> militias, the arrest of any who committed crimes against citizens, and compensation for all who suffered property damage.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Sunday, the Party laid the responsibility for the atrocities and abuses at the door of the authority that brought the militiamen to the state.
