An armed robbery on Monday morning against a commercial vehicle in Hajar Tomat area, north Kutum in North Darfur, resulted in serious injury to one person and the disappearance of about ten others.<\/p>\n
A witness told Radio Dabanga that the vehicle was attacked by three gunmen mounted on camels, who stole all the money and property of the passengers, as well as the goods loaded on the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Mousa Jiddo was seriously injured, and transferred to Kutum hospital for treatment. About ten passengers are still missing, including the driver of the vehicle, Ali Ismail.<\/p>\n
Mukjar<\/strong><\/p>\n Militiamen shot and injured Aisha Bahar on Sunday night in Mukjar in Central Darfur. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that the incident occurred when Aisha and two friends were returning home from a family visit to a district east of the city.<\/p>\n The shooting was so intense that terrified the city’s population. Aisha was transferred to a hospital in Mukjar for treatment. The citizens of Mukjar demand that the local and state authorities intensify night patrols within the city, prohibit masks, and outlaw bearing arms inside the city. They also called on Unamid to act to protect the civilians in Mukjar.<\/p>\n East Darfur<\/strong><\/p>\n Also on Monday, two people were killed and ten others wounded in two separate incidents of armed robbery in East Darfur.<\/p>\n Unidentified gunmen opened fire on two commercial vehicles southwest of Assalaya. They were returning from the market loaded with trade and consumer goods, bound for Yassin.<\/p>\n A witness told Radio Dabanga that the attack killed the drivers of the vehicles Mahmoud Ibrahim, and Babiker Abu outright. Five passengers were injured, including Abubakar Abdul Baki and Omar Adam.<\/p>\n The witness said gunmen took all the passengers\u2019 money, possessions, and mobile phones, as well as all of the goods loaded on the lorries.<\/p>\n In a second incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a commercial vehicle that was on its way from the market of Ed Daein.
