Sheikh Matar Younis told Radio Dabanga that the ceremony coincided with the last day of \u201coffering condolences to the families of the martyrs\u201d, Mohamed Ibrahim Karkab and Muhamed Ali Yagoub, who were shot dead during the demonstration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDelegations from North, West, East, and South Darfur camps for the displaced arrived, along with many community leaders and notables from Zalingei and Nertiti. They offered their condolences to the martyrs relatives, and wished the injured a quick healing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Younis reported that in the speeches during the ceremony, the ruling National Congress Party, the head of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA), Dr Tijani Sese, and the Governor of Central Darfur State, Dr Yusif Tibin, were held responsible for the shooting on the peaceful protesters. \u201cThe people present affirmed that they will continue their protest marches and peaceful demonstrations in all&nbsp;Darfur states until the regime is toppled.\u201d The speakers also demanded from the head of Unamid, Dr Mohamed ibn Chambas, to resign, and from the UN Security Council to change the Unamid\u2019s mandate from peacekeeping to peace enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Kalma camp for the displaced in South Darfur, sheikh Ali Abdel Rahman El Tahir, strongly condemned what he called \u201cMonday\u2019s massacre\u201d at the Hamidiya camp in Zalingei.
