More than 3,200 newly displaced people from Kabkabiya locality in North Darfur arrived on Sunday morning at the locality\u2019s Sibak El Khel and Doumi camps for the displaced. On the same day, about 500 families arrived at the area of Fassi, east of Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur. They had fled from Saraf Omra locality in fear of attacks by Musa Hilal militias on Friday.<\/p>\n

A sheikh of the Sibak El Khel camp reported to Radio Dabanga that the newly displaced people had fled from 24 villages, located southwest of Kabkabiya town, after being attacked by Musa Hilal militias on Friday. The escapees told the camp elders that Musa Hilal militias on Land Cruisers, motorcycles, horses and camels had stormed their villages. Bullets fired into the air led to the injury of a number of villagers. A number of houses burned down.<\/p>\n

The villages from which the citizens have fled are Hileila, Hileilat, Morlouz, Shilein, Moz Loz, Tanabeeg, Jemeiza, Jeldama, Um Laouta , Um Delo, Dade, Arba Buyout, Khartoum Bahri, Beni Mansour, Soba Beni Mansour East, Soba Beni Mansour West, El Hasira, Tamanga, Margouba, Arda Shouf, Um Hijara, Taran, Matawi and Hilat Sheikh Neel.<\/p>\n

The sheikh called on the authorities and humanitarian organisations to quickly aid the newly displaced. \u201cThey are sleeping in the open, without blankets, food, water, or medicines.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zalingei<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 500 families, who escaped the attacks in Saraf Omra locality, arrived on Sunday morning to the area of Fassi, east of Zalingei. They had fled their villages of El Gharbiya, Subyan Khafo El Shargiya, Kebej, Waldumo, Ansar, Ed Gimir, Ab Tinei, Ab Rimeila, and Shawshu, a listener from Fassi told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

He said that the newly displaced are living in very difficult humanitarian conditions, \u201cin the open, without shelter, food, water, or medicines\u201d. \u201cThe Musa Hilal militias had robbed them of about 500 cows, sheep and horses”. <\/p>\n

Another group comprising dozens of families fleeing Saraf Omra arrived in Um Tajok, Kereinik locality in West Darfur. \u201cThey are in dire need of aid, because they are currently living in the open, without shelter, food or water.\u201d<\/p>\n
