The Security Services\u2019 Coordination Committee in Khartoum State issued a statement on Tuesday saying that \u201call students belonging to the armed rebel movements are prohibited from carrying any activity, organising a gathering or a demonstration, as they are affiliates of these movements waging war on the government\u201d.<\/p>\n

The authorities consider the students\u2019 activities in Khartoum as \u201can extension of the war, the looting and burning in the field,\u201d according to the statement, released by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe security services will fiercely fight and deter the practices of groups belonging to the armed movements.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cActivities inside their headquarters are allowed to take place without a permit from the competent authorities,\u201d he added. \u201cYet, if those activities are carried out in public places, a permit must be obtained.\u201d<\/p>\n
