The implementation of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) is facing many challenges, according to the Minister of Reconstruction and Infrastructure of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA).<\/p>\n

DRA Minister Tajeldin Bashir Nyam acknowledged in a forum held at the premises of the National Umma Party in Omdurman on Saturday, that the implementation of the DDPD is facing manifold problems, including financial support, and security arrangements, as well as the constitutionality of the Document.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth the ruling National Congress Party, and DDPD signatory Liberation and Justice Movement, bear the responsibility for addressing the implementation problems. In particular the security arrangements are seriously hampered. Another challenge is the incorporation of the agreement in the Constitution. The National Congress Party has a majority in the parliament. Yet, the issue of the incorporation of the Doha Document in the Constitution has never been raised in the parliament.\u201d<\/p>\n
