President Deby said that Chad has no agenda in Darfur and called on the movements to join the peace process. The two movements described the conference, which concludes on Sunday, and will be addressed by President Omar Al Bashir on Saturday, as \u201ca show\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Jibril Adam Bilal, the spokesman for the JEM, in an interview with Radio Dabanga refused to attend the conference. \u201cThe Chadian government and the Sudanese President are required to play a bigger role in relation to the rights of the people of Darfur as whole, rather than standing by the side of a particular group.\u201d He stressed that his movement is not committed to any outputs that result from the conference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;Consolidation of tribes&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SLM-MM leadership has reiterated its rejection of the conference. \u201cIt is an extension of the attempts to dismantle the issue of Darfur, which began by the expulsion of humanitarian organisations, setting difficulties to the remaining ones, and emptying the camps\u201d, Abdallah Mursal, the spokesman for the movement, told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that they see the conference as a convergence of interests between Sudan and Chad for the consolidation of tribalism in both countries.
