Awesu Soleiman, who was abducted in Nyala, South Darfur on 9 March, was freed in the city on Thursday after 54 days in captivity.<\/p>\n<p>The AU-UN Joint Special Representative for Darfur, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, expressed the Mission\u2019s gratitude to the Government of Sudan, the Governor of South Darfur, and the Government of Nigeria for their valuable assistance in securing the safe release of Sgt.
