They had fled clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), supported by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), and the Sudan People&#8217;s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) in several locations across Rashad locality.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of the newly displaced are sheltering in school buildings, the latest humanitarian bulletin of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Sudan reported.<\/p>\n<p>The South Kordofan state authorities called upon international and national organisations working in the state to provide relief to the newly displaced. In response, the World Food Programme (WFP) and its partners distributed one-month emergency food rations to 8,500 verified people.<\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese Red Crescent Society, supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), has established two emergency health clinics in Rashad town. In addition, the UN Children\u2019s Agency (Unicef) and the WHO supported the South Kordofan SMoH with emergency medicine and enough basic health kits to cover the needs of 10,000 people for three months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue Nile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Blue Nile State, the SMoH in Kurmuk locality has estimated that 6,500 people from different parts of the locality have been affected by fighting between SAF and the SPLM-N over the past weeks. The SMoH provided the affected people with health services through a mobile clinic.
