Militiamen shot a woman dead in Manzoula, Sirba locality, West Darfur, on Sunday. On the same day a group of 15 displaced was robbed on the Tandelti-Saraf Jidad camp road.<\/p>\n
\u201cSamaniya Abbas Ibrahim (27) was killed by militiamen within her home in Manzoula, in the southern part of Sirba locality,\u201d the spokesman for the Sirba camps told Radio Dabanga. \u201cOn Sunday evening, militiamen stormed the house of Ibrahim with the aim to rob the family. When Ibrahim resisted, they shot her dead. Her mother was beaten.\u201d<\/p>\n
The incident was reported to the police. Ibrahim\u2019s body was transferred to the hospital of El Geneina for an autopsy.<\/p>\n
The spokesman also reported that on Sunday afternoon, \u201cgovernment-backed gunmen\u201d on camels and horses assaulted a group of 15 people from the Saraf Jidad camp for the displaced who were returning from the Tandelti market. \u201cThe Janjaweed<\/em> beat the people, and robbed them of their money, foodstuffs, and five mobile telephones.\u201d<\/p>\n The spokesman appealed through Radio Dabanga to the West Darfur State government and Unamid to provide protection to the citizens, and prosecute \u201cthese outlaws\u201d.<\/p>\n File photo<\/em><\/p>\n
