On Monday, militiamen ambushed a vehicle of the South Darfur State\u2019s Ministry of Health in the area of Digeis in South Darfur. In Um Dafug, South Darfur, the vehicle of a commander was stolen at gunpoint, and in Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur, unidentified gunmen stole a Land Cruiser belonging to the Central Reserve Police.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Radio Dabanga from Digeis, a witness reported that six Janjaweed<\/em> on camels opened fire at a vehicle belonging to the Ministry of Health en route from Nyala to Kubum at about 12am on Monday.<\/p>\n One of the assailants was killed during the attack. Three passengers of the vehicle were wounded: Ibrahim Hassan, Muhamed Khalil, and a boy aged two. Kubum hospital director, Dr Dahab Adam, passenger Hamed Mohamed Saleh, and guard Adam El Tayeb remained unharmed.<\/p>\n Um Dafug<\/strong><\/p>\n On Monday too, militiamen seized a vehicle of the commander of the joint Sudan-Chad-Central African Republic forces after threatening him and his bodyguards in Um Dafug town in South Darfur.<\/p>\n Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen attacked the commander and his guards while they were entering the Um Dafug hospital. They forced them at gunpoint to lie down on the ground, and took their vehicle with which they left to an unknown destination.<\/p>\n Military uniforms <\/strong><\/p>\n Unidentified gunmen wearing military uniforms opened fire on a Land Cruiser of the Central Reserve Police (known as Abu Tira<\/em>) in Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur, on Monday. <\/p>\n The driver was killed and another Abu Tira<\/em> troop wounded during the attack which took place in front of the technology department of the University of Zalingei.
