A grenade explosion in Kutum locality, North Darfur, maimed two boys, and caused the loss of one eye of one of the brothers on Wednesday. The other brother sustained injuries on his face and legs. Both brothers had their hands amputated, and are in urgent need of medical attention, which is absent in the area.<\/p>\n

One of the relatives of the victims told Radio Dabanga that the two children found a granite bomb in Donki Ba\u2019ashim area, which was attacked by the Rapid Support Forces led by ‘Hemeti’ (the Border Guards Commander) in March this year. The brothers, named Jido Kamal Adam (15 years old) and Ibrahim Kamal Adam, took the bomb to play with it, after which it exploded.<\/p>\n

The relative expressed concern that the boys might die. They are bleeding, and there is no health centre in the region. He appealed to the UN-AU peace mission (Unamid) in El Fasher or Kutum localities to save their lives.<\/p>\n
