Bakri Hassan Saleh.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-GB\">The spokesman for the DRA said in a press conference held in Khartoum that the villages outside the development matrix amount to 1,071 projects, as they will be opened in each state of Darfur separately. <\/span>The &#8216;model services complex&#8217; is part of the project &#8216;model villages for voluntary return&#8217;, agreed on in the 2011 Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD).<\/p>\n<p>The villages which will be inaugurated with funding from Qatar include Arara, Ronga Tas in Central Darfur, Bulbul Timbisko in South Darfur, Um Dai in East Darfur, and Tabit in North Darfur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Displaced reject model villages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-GB\">On 28 May, Ronga Tas camp for internally displaced people was attacked by a group of armed men, allegedly members of the former rebel Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM). <\/span>Both LJM and DRA have strongly denied any involvement in the attack.
