Tension has returned between the Salamat and Misseriya tribes in Um Dukhun locality, Central Darfur, owing to tit-for-tat cattle rustling by both sides on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cSalamat tribesmen stole 113 cows from the Misseriya on Saturday. In response more than 80 cows belonging to Salamat were taken by Misseriya tribesmen on Sunday\u201d, a listener told Radio Dabanga from Um Dukhun.<\/p>\n

The source said that the situation was extremely tense. \u201cIt can explode at any time.\u201d He appealed to the Central Darfur State authorities and representatives of the native administrations to immediately intervene in order to contain the situation.<\/p>\n

Goats stolen<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday, at about 5pm, militiamen in military uniforms stole 51 goats from the grazing area south of Mukjar town in Central Darfur. \u201cThe militiamen threatened the shepherds, and left with the goats towards the south\u201d, a herder from the area told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf the 51 goats, ten belonged to Adam Idris Zagal, 20 to Yousef Bushara, and 21 belonged to Mohamed Abdelaziz Abdelmoula\u201d, the source tallied.<\/p>\n
