The displaced in the North Darfur camps have expressed their regret at the recent split of the Sudan Liberation Movement-Second Revolution (SLM-SR), led by Abulgasim Imam, from the Sudan Liberation Movement, headed by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW).<\/p>\n

A resident of the Naivasha camp for the displaced in North Darfur called via Radio Dabanga upon the parties to \u201cresort to the voice of reason, and to unite again\u201d, stressing that the displaced in the camps refuse these kinds of splits. \u201cThe only beneficiary of the Sudan Liberation Movement\u2019s split is the ruling National Congress Party.\u201d<\/p>\n

 \u201cWe demand from the opposition movements to prioritise the causes of the Darfur conflicts. More than ten years of suffering are enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Darfuri refugees in the eastern Chad camps also expressed their disappointment at the split of the SLM. They demand from all the armed movements to unite \u201cfor the sake of ending the suffering of the Darfuri refugees and displaced\u201d. A refugees of the Djabal refugee camp said to Radio Dabanga that the split will prolong the crisis and exacerbate the suffering of the Darfuris.<\/p>\n
