Militiamen raped three residents of Kalma camp in the area of Ba\u2019ashum, South Darfur, on Sunday. In the same area, nine others were severely beaten and robbed of their belongings.<\/p>\n

\u201cMilitiamen on Sunday assaulted a number of Kalma camp displaced at the farmlands of Ba\u2019ashum, about of 15km east of the camp,\u201d Saleh Eisa, Secretary-General of the camp told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

\u201cSix gunmen seized three women, and raped them alternately for an hour. In the same area, five militiamen severely beat nine displaced with batons and whips. They robbed them of their two horses and four donkeys, all their personal belongings, and their sowing seeds.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe displaced men who were beaten are Abdel Rahman Ahmed Mohamed (43), Ahmed Abdel Rahman Suleiman (39), Mukhtar Yagoub Omar (33), Adam Abdel Rahman Khater (29), Ismail Yagoub Omar (27), the women are Gisma Abdel Shafi Khater (43), Khamisa El Taher Hassan (42), Fatima Suleiman Ali (40), and Kaltouma Omda Mohamed (38).\u201d<\/p>\n
