The Darfuri displaced and refugees congratulated all the Sudanese people in general and the Darfuris in particular, on the occasion of the Eid El Fitr on Monday, praying that peace and stability may prevail throughout Sudan.<\/p>\n

The displaced also expressed their sadness for not being able to buy sweets and new clothes for their children. Hussein Abu Sharati, the spokesman for the Association of the Darfur Displaced and Refugees described Eid El Fitr this year as a feast of grief, in which they remember their dead, the missing, and the injured during more than a decade of war. He asked all the Darfuri displaced and refugees to \u201cbe tolerant toward one another, shake hands, and unite for regaining their legitimate rights and demands\u201d.<\/p>\n

The coordinator of the North Darfur camps, Omda Ahmed Ateem, asked via Radio Dabanga the \u201cAlmighty Lord of the Earth and the Sky\u201d that this year will be the last one in which Khartoum regime rules Sudan.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully next year\u2019s Eid will see justice, equality, dignity, and well-being of the populations prevailing.  We wish that the hundreds of thousands of displaced will have been able to return to their beloved homes with dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Darfuri refugees in the eastern Chad camps congratulate all the Muslims in the world on the occasion of Eid El Fitr, saying that they feel profound sadness because they do not have anything to offer to their children. \u201cOur happiness will only be complete when we have been able to return to our homeland,\u201d Ali Yagoub, the head of the Treguine refugee camp, told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

The camp head expressed the hope that \u201cthis regime will go as soon as possible\u201d, and that next year peace will prevail in Sudan.<\/p>\n

He appealed to relief organisations to provide them with the required humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n
