Ahmed Ali Rizig.<\/p>\n<p>The government institutions in Adila, Abu Karinka, Sharef, and El Mazrob are still closed since Sunday, after angry protesters changed the offices\u2019 locks. On Sunday and Monday, Ma\u2019aliya went to the streets in protest against against the formation of a new East Darfur State government. They do not feel safe in East Darfur, and demanded the areas inhabited by Ma\u2019aliya to be incorporated in North Darfur State.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On 20 August, hundreds of people were killed in renewed clashes between Ma\u2019aliya and Rizeigat, after militant Rizeigat tribesmen reportedly attacked Ma\u2019aliya in Abu Karinka locality.<\/p>\n<p>Ali Abdel Rahman El Taher, head of the sheikhs of the displaced in East Darfur, appealed via Radio Dabanga to both tribes \u201cnot to listen to instigators, and resort to the voice of reason\u201d.
