A displaced woman was raped in Kass locality, South Darfur on Monday. On Wednesday, militiamen gang raped three displaced women in the area of Shangil Tobaya, North Darfur. About 45 women, including 12 minors, have been raped in East Jebel Marra in the period between 1 July and mid-August.<\/p>\n

In South Darfur, a woman (40) from El Batari-B camp for the displaced in Kass locality was raped by gunmen on Monday. The coordinator of El Batari camps reported to Radio Dabanga that \u201cmilitiamen brutally raped the woman on the farmland she was working.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe unconscious victim was transferred to a hospital in Kass. Her condition remains critical although she received four bottles of blood.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday three displaced young women were raped near \u200b\u200bFula, about 2 km north of Shangil Tobaya, where they were tending their farmlands, a witness told Radio Dabanga. \u201cAfter the gunmen had raped the women, they took their three donkeys, and left.\u201d<\/p>\n

Humiliated<\/strong><\/p>\n

Residents of East Jebel Marra informed Radio Dabanga that 45 women, including 12 minors, have been raped in the period between 1 July and mid-August.<\/p>\n

They added that the \u201cgovernment-backed militiamen” are often not satisfied with raping alone. \u201cThey humiliate the victims even more, by shaving their heads, and mutilate their bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 12 minors, who were raped, suffer from genital problems. Only four of them have been treated, for fistula, at El Fasher Teaching Hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n
