North, Central, and West Darfur witnessed a series of armed robberies and thefts during the past days.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Sunday, Dankoj camp resident Abdelmalek Fadul was robbed of SDG2,000 ($350) by four gunmen while he was on his way from Saraf Umra town to the camp,\u201d a Dankoj camp sheikh reported to Radio Dabanga. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe day before, 109 sheep and goats belonging to four camp residents, were stolen by Janjaweed<\/em>,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In the centre of El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, two cars were stolen at gunpoint on Sunday. One of the vehicles belonged to Muawia Gamareldin, and the other to the Darfur Regional Authority, Gamareldin told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

Central Darfur<\/strong><\/p>\n

In El Jebelein camp for the displaced in Garsila locality, Central Darfur, camp resident Maryam Haroun Ahmed was seriously injured on Monday evening, a camp sheikh informed Radio Dabanga. \u201cArmed robbers stormed the house of Ibrahim Mohamed Eisa, and started firing. Eisa\u2019s wife was critically hit, and had to be transferred to a hospital in Garsila for urgent treatment.<\/p>\n

Also on Monday, two gunmen attacked Adam Kalou inside his house in Nierteti town, Central Darfur. \u201cWhen he protested, they shot at him, wounding him seriously,\u201d his neighbour said. \u201cThey then took Kalou\u2019s motorcycle, and fled.\u201d<\/p>\n

West Darfur<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Monday, three gunmen assaulted Sheikh Gamareldin Abakar, when he was on his way from Tandelti to Saraf Jidad. \u201cThey beat him severely, and robbed him of his motorcycle, and SDG8,000 ($1,400),\u201d an eyewitness reported.<\/p>\n
