Samia Khamis Tarboush had an exploratory operation last week and turned out to be suffering from an obstruction in the stomach, because of the beatings.<\/p>\n<p>The No to Women Oppression Initiative (NWOI) told Radio Dabanga that after the violent eviction of 70 Darfuri women students their boarding house in Khartoum on 5 October, during which dozens were arrested, Samia was heavily beaten while in prison. \u201cShe is in a very bad mental state, and can barely eat because of the pain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Students associations and activist groups have denounced the actions against the students in El Zahra boarding house. Ten days after their forced eviction, 40 students were offered accommodation in other housing facilities.
