The fled their homes when pro-government militiamen burned their villages on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Saleh Mohamed Issa, the Secretary-General of the Kalma camps told Radio Dabanga that the newcomers came from the villages of Chawa and Tebeldiyat Timan.<\/p>\n<p>Issa said that the newly displaced reported that in addition to the villages, vast areas of farms were destroyed. Abdel Jabbar Adam Suleiman and Juma Yousif Adam were seriously injured in the attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Issa added that the new arrivals have warned of more people fleeing to the camps.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, a group of herders burned Chawa village, a couple of kilometres east of Labado in East Darfur. \u201cThe incident occurred in the backdrop of a conflict between pastoralists and farmers and has created tension in the area,&#8221; Issa reported to Radio Dabanga on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camp fire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Monday, a fire broke out in the camp itself. It completely destroyed 31 houses. Issa told Radio Dabanga that the fire broke out at Centre 8. \u201cThe affected families are currently living in the open without shelter, cover or food.
