A farmer has been killed, and two women injured in separate attacks by militiamen on displaced inhabitants of Saraf Umra locality, North Darfur.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Idris Mohammed of camp Jebel was shot and killed when he tried to prevent a number of pastoralists and their livestock from entering his farm in the Karanbang Valley, South Saraf Umra.<\/p>\n

A witness told Radio Dabanga that at 10 pm on Tuesday that the pro- government militiamen opened fire on Mohammed and shot him dead.<\/p>\n

In the Karkola area South Saraf Umra, a pro-government militiaman tried to ambush Sumeiya Ismail Idris and Fatima Mousa, apparently with the intent to rape them. When they refused to stop, he opened fire and shot Sumeiya in the head and chest and Fatima in both of her feet. Both victims were transferred to a hospital in Saraf Umra for treatment.<\/p>\n
