In Central Darfur, two children were killed by gunmen in Bindisi locality on Wednesday. The day before, two residents of Nierteti South camp sustained serious injuries in an attack by militiamen.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, an uncle of the children reported that \u201csuddenly on Wednesday morning\u201d, two militiamen stormed our family house in Kalam Basna village. \u201cThey fired at the heads of Ahmed Yahya Ahmed (6), and his sister Kawsar (4). Both died instantly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one has a clue about the reasons behind the killing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Firewood<\/strong><\/p>\n

An elder of Nierteti South camp told Radio Dabanga that Adam Ismail Ali and Abdelmahmoud Ahmed Babikir sustained serious injuries in an attack by militiamen on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were, with others, on their way home after collecting firewood and straw in the area of Masbanij, south of the camp, when seven government-backed militiamen on four motorcycles intercepted the group. They severely beat them. Babikir sustained head injuries, and Ali had one of his legs broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that the attackers proceeded with preventing other displaced to leave the camp to fetch firewood.<\/p>\n
