Elements of the Rapid Support Forces assaulted and robbed two young men in Kutum, North Darfur, on Friday. On the same day, militiamen shot dead a villager, and robbed a group of people in Zalingei locality, Central Darfur, and a woman was killed, and six others injured by stray bullets in East Darfur.<\/p>\n
“Members of a large group of Rapid Support militia troops, on their way from Kutum town to Damra El Guba, seized Feisal Mohamed Saleh, a secondary school student, and his friend Abdallah Yahya in Kutum’s Kabut district”, a relative of one of the victims reported to Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n
“When they reached the eastern part of the town, the militia forces severely beat them before stripping them of their money, mobiles, clothes, and even their shoes.”<\/p>\n
13 goats<\/strong><\/p>\n The coordinator of the Zalingei camps for the displaced told Radio Dabanga that three government-backed militiamen stormed the house of Musa Abdallah Abdelrahim in Terej village, south of Zalingei town, at 10 pm on Friday. “They fired at him, killing him instantly, after which they fled with his 13 goats.”<\/p>\n “Earlier that evening, the same men had robbed a group of people of their money and belongings in the vicinity of Terej,” he added.<\/p>\n Celebratory shots <\/strong><\/p>\n During a festivity at the village of Fanga in El Ferdous locality, East Darfur, a gunman fired celebratory shots in the air. “A woman was fatally hit, while six other women sustained various injuries,” a resident of the village informed Radio Dabanga. “They were transferred to a hospital in Ed Daein for treatment.”<\/p>\n
