OCHA (the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, RD) has formally requested approval for the establishment of a new camp in the locality.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Digeish called via Dabanga on the authorities to accelerate the issuance of the approval, &ldquo;in order to allow the provision of relief to those affected by the widespread attacks in Um Baru&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>On 28 January, Unicef flew in emergency supplies to the newly displaced in the locality, which has been targeted by government militias and the Sudanese Air Force since 8 January, purportedly to rid the area of rebel fighters.
