{"id":182905,"date":"2015-05-17T12:58:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-17T12:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dabangasudan.preview.websight.nl\/24-000-families-affected-by-tribal-fighting-in-east-darfur-hac\/"},"modified":"2015-05-17T12:58:00","modified_gmt":"2015-05-17T12:58:00","slug":"24-000-families-affected-by-tribal-fighting-in-east-darfur-hac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/24-000-families-affected-by-tribal-fighting-in-east-darfur-hac","title":{"rendered":"\u201824,000 families affected by tribal fighting in East Darfur\u2019: HAC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to a preliminary needs assessment by the East Darfur state Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), 24,000 families in Abu Karinka locality were affected by the clashes between Ma&rsquo;aliya and Rizeigat tribesmen last Monday. 656 houses were destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The victims are in need of water, food, shelter, and medicines,&rdquo; East Darfuri HAC Commissioner Abdu Abdelmahmoud told reporters in Ed Daein, capital of East Darfur, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Investigation committees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese Ministry of Justice has established a high-level committee to investigate the fighting on Monday, which led to the death of at least 100 tribesmen. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Justice Minister Mohamed Bushara Dosa announced on Friday that a committee had been established, consisting of senior officials of the ministries of Justice, Defence, Interior Affairs, the NISS, Military Intelligence, and the Higher Federal Affairs Council, to investigate the clashes.<\/p>\n<p>The committee will be supported by a military force, to arrest those involved in the fighting, and enforce the rule of law.
