{"id":182554,"date":"2015-07-06T22:18:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-06T22:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dabangasudan.preview.websight.nl\/political-secretary-of-the-sudanese-congress-party-s-flogged\/"},"modified":"2015-07-06T22:18:00","modified_gmt":"2015-07-06T22:18:00","slug":"political-secretary-of-the-sudanese-congress-party-s-flogged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/political-secretary-of-the-sudanese-congress-party-s-flogged","title":{"rendered":"Political secretary of the Sudanese Congress Party\u2019s flogged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The political secretary of the Sudanese Congress Party and two other party members today received 20 lashes in front of the Omdurman Criminal Court.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mastour Ahmed Mohamed was flogged, together with two other prominent party members, immediately after having been convicted of disturbing the public order.<\/p>\n<p>Mohamed, Asem Mohamed El Tayeb, and Ibrahim Mohamed Zein were detained on 28 April at Soug Libya in western Omdurman, where they criticised the policies of the ruling National Congress Party in public.<\/p>\n<p>The National Consensus Forces (NCF, a coalition of opposition parties) denounced the &ldquo;unjust sentence&rdquo;.
