The Governor of South Darfur state, Adam El Faki Mohamed El Tayeb, has issued a decree of general amnesty for all the people in the camps for displaced in South Darfur, who have collaborated with the armed movements, in a move to push forward Sudan's dialogue process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He stated to the press on Wednesday that the decision has come in the context of the state’s efforts to repair the social fabric, “for a decent life without restrictions or conditions on the inhabitants of the camps and for curbing the outlawness”.<\/p>\n

Governor El Faki added that aspects of inscurity are “on their way to be deterred”, after security has been extended in the state.<\/p>\n

“The implementation of the presidential decree of general amnesty for all the collaborators with all the armed movements, will push forward the national dialogue process”.<\/p>\n

In November last year, displaced people living in camps such as Kass were arrested<\/a> in a raid campaign by the security service, on charges of collaborating with rebel movements present in- and outside the camps.<\/p>\n
