He described life in the state, south of Khartoum, as &ldquo;difficult in all aspects&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>The shortage of cooking gas also led to sky rocketing prices in Wad Madani, capital of El Gezira state. &ldquo;A cylinder now costs SDG250 ($41),&rdquo; he reported. &ldquo;People there stand in lines before the distribution centres for days without getting an LPG cylinder.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In Sennar state, most bakeries shut their doors a week ago because of a lack of flour.<\/p>\n<p>A listener said that the cooking gas crisis started more than six months ago. &ldquo;The people register their names on growing lists without getting cooking gas.
