Three people were killed, a trader <\/strong>was <\/strong>seriously injured, and a number of women were beaten up in separate incidents in South and North Darfur the past few days. <\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, two accountants were shot dead and two others sustained bullet wounds in an armed robbery in South Darfur's Katila locality.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner of Katila, Mousa Zein, reported that “two gunmen intercepted the commercial vehicle transporting accountants and auditors in the area of Tekeina.<\/p>\n

“They fired at the vehicle, causing the death of two and the injury of two others, after which they stole about SDG200,000 ($32,550) belonging to the locality”.<\/p>\n

Tawila<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning, Ibrahim Adam Saleh was shot dead as he was grazing his cattle in the area of Dubbo El Omda in North Darfur's Tawila locality.<\/p>\n

One of his relatives told Radio Dabanga that the attackers, a number of militiamen wearing military uniforms and riding camels, took his cattle and fled.<\/p>\n

Kabkabiya<\/strong><\/p>\n

Merchant Salah Kakum was severely injured in Kabkabiya town in North Darfur on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

“Elements of a government militia on motorcycles shot him as he was returning home in El Sug district. They robbed him of SDF50,000 ($8,140),” one of his neighbours reported.<\/p>\n

Kakum was transferred to El Fasher for treatment.<\/p>\n

Kass<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paramilitaries of the Rapid Support Forces assaulted a number of vendors at the weekly market of Yama, north of Kass in South Darfur on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

A visitor of the market told Radio Dabanga that the vendors were mostly women who came from neighbouring villages with their donkeys carrying fruits, onions, potatoes, and tomatoes to be sold at the market.<\/p>\n

“They severely beat the women with their whips, after which they robbed them of all their money, mobile phones, goods, and their donkeys.”<\/p>\n

The witness added that when “the drivers of four commercial vehicles saw the fleeing women, they immediately turned around and fled”.<\/p>\n
