{"id":180010,"date":"2016-08-03T09:49:00","date_gmt":"2016-08-03T07:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dabangasudan.preview.websight.nl\/darfuri-students-results-withheld-as-supplemental-exams-loom\/"},"modified":"2022-12-29T04:18:06","modified_gmt":"2022-12-29T03:18:06","slug":"darfuri-students-results-withheld-as-supplemental-exams-loom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/darfuri-students-results-withheld-as-supplemental-exams-loom","title":{"rendered":"Darfuri students\u2019 results withheld as supplemental exams loom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Leaders of the Darfuri Students Association have appealed to the administration of Omdurman Islamic University to release the results of 1,200 students ahead of the commencement of substitute and supplemental exams next week.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The University is withholding the results on the pretext of non-payment of fees, however in accordance with the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, Darfuri students are supposed to be exempt from fees.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Darfuri Students Association at Omdurman Islamic University, Abdelhadi Abdellatif, told Radio Dabanga that on Tuesday, the university administration refused to announce the results of 1200 Darfuri students from the faculties of law, economics and political science. The faculties of science and technology have indeed announced the results of the students.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that they filed two requests to the university administration to announce the results so that the students can sit for substitute and supplements exams, but the university administration refused their demands.
