More than 60,000 people have been affected.<\/p>\n<p>Mohamed Tahir Iseil, independent MP for South Darfur&rsquo;s Ed El Fursan constituency told Radio Dabanga that flash floods in Kaya valley have washed away the villages of Nurleih, El Surakh, Deiri, Ed El Jummeiz, and Shano. At least 978 houses collapsed, food stocks were destroyed, and the road connecting Ed El Fursan with the state capital of Nyala has become impassable.<\/p>\n<p>In Dar El Salam locality in North Darfur, heavy rains destroyed a large number of houses and the locality&rsquo;s main market, a listener reported.
