South Kordofan has been witnessing a lack of flour and a severe shortage of bread in the state capital Kadugli, for the last two days. Meanwhile export goods are accumulating in Port Sudan<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday teachers in Kadugli told Radio Dabanga that the lack of bread has forced the school administrations in the city to issue directives to the students not to return after the breakfast hours to study.<\/p>\n

An employee and a housewife who spoke to Radio Dabanga expressed concern about the crisis and the sharp rise in the prices of consumer goods making the living unbearable in Southern Kordofan.<\/p>\n

Currency<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday the US Dollar has recorded a slight rise against the Sudanese Pound in the parallel market amounting to SDG 19.35 instead of SDG 19.20, the Euro SDG 20.20, and the Saudi Riyal SDG 5.14.<\/p>\n

Foreign exchange currency traders in Khartoum told Radio Dabanga that prices have risen because of the increased demand these days by importers of goods at the beginning of the New Year.<\/p>\n

Exports<\/strong><\/p>\n

A group of exporters have complained about the implementation of a decision to determine the load. They say they expected to stop exporting within two weeks in the event of the continuation of the decision.<\/p>\n

They complained of an accumulation of goods at the port of Port Sudan for more than 10 days because of lack of containers for shipment. Goods are also accumulating in the stores waiting, for vehicles for transportation to the port of Port Sudan.<\/p>\n
