A group of 14 of the most prominent dialogue parties in Sudan, including the Reform Now Movement, the Platform for a Just Peace and the Muslim Brotherhood, inaugurated a new front on behalf of the National Alignment Forces headed by Dr Ghazi Salaheldin Atabani, head of the Reform Now Movement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Atabani, the head of the National Alignment Forces, told Radio Dabanga: “The new front is governed by a charter that provides for freedoms and the constitution, how to write it, to authorise it, and the issue of elections”.<\/p>\n

He said that the National Alignment Forces submitted a memorandum to the presidency dealt of the achievements of the outcome of the dialogue and those not completed.<\/p>\n

He considered the National Alignment Forces a new initiative in the arena to deal with pressing and urgent issues through alliances.<\/p>\n

Yesterday the National Alignment Forces published a memorandum on the level of implementation of the most important recommendations of the National Dialogue Conference.<\/p>\n

The memorandum called on the Presidency of the Republic to reshape the mechanism of coordination of the high national dialogue and distribute it equally between the opposition and the government and that be the mechanism should be under either the leadership or sponsorship of the President.<\/p>\n

It also called for the implementation of the recommendations of the national dialogue regarding the cessation of hostilities, containment of tribal conflicts and radically ending the war, as well as the remaining 981 recommendations in the areas of fundamental freedoms, human rights, political reform, elections and the economic sphere.<\/p>\n
