The head of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), Abdelaziz El Hilu, has sent a message to the Sudanese demonstrators calling on them this time not allow anyone to block and impede the process of change which has begun to accelerate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He called in a statement on the people of the uprising to continue the peaceful resistance with confidence and continue sit-ins and strikes until the change is complete, saying they will not lose anything by continuing the strike other than poverty, unemployment, ghost houses, speeches by misguided sheikhs and senior officers who defend injustice, tyranny and reactionary projects that have hampered Sudan from advancing and hindered its march towards growth and progress.<\/p>\n

He said that the country has a promising future and a new Sudan with values and principles of freedom, peace, justice and equality and ample opportunities for promotion, self-realisation and building a nation that can serve all.<\/p>\n

El Hilu said that the sit-in was a bright national painting that brought together all the Sudanese spectrum like a true epic, it has surpassed all the imaginary barriers established by the forces of old Sudan and hope to bridge the gap and unify the political will and national conscience.<\/p>\n

‘Opportunity to bring about real change’<\/strong><\/p>\n

He added it has been an opportunity to bring about real change, provided that the struggle and the revolutionary tide continue to prevent the infiltration of the reactionary agenda and elements of the counter-revolution to confuse the papers and disrupt the march by aborting the revolution.<\/p>\n

El Hilu said you have to settle yourself against the ruling junta, even if it costs three years.<\/p>\n

He warned of what he called the dark power that is working to block the dreams of the Sudanese people and their legitimate aspirations for freedom, peace, justice, equality and change by exploiting the army and religion in the implementation of their plans, after the overthrow of the regime of the tyrant Al Bashir.<\/p>\n

El Hilu said that despite 63 years of the country’s independence, the elites who advanced the rows have turned it to a field of experiments of random theories of partisan and civil strife followed by a brutal military dictatorship.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that these elites have ignited civil wars that destroyed the social fabric and displaced the citizens.<\/p>\n

El Hilu said that the head of the Transitional Military Council, Abdelfattah El Burhan has not benefitted from the lessons of the past that he had to abolish Islamic law to prevent the exploitation of religion in politics, the immediate handover of power to civilians, the return of the army to its barracks to perform their duties stipulated in the Constitution.<\/p>\n

He stressed in his speech that the credibility of the Transitional Military Council is at stake as a mere military wing of the former National Congress Party regime by trying to listen to the regime and the voices coming from abroad instead of responding to the voice of the masses.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, El Hilu called on the Sudanese people to continue the resistance through sit-ins and strikes and not to allow the process of comprehensive change to be impeded.<\/p>\n
