The shut-down was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/sudanese-communications-authority-junta-requested-internet-shutdown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ordered by the ruling Transitional Military Council<\/a> (TMC) following the massacre during the break-up of the sit-in at the General Command of the army in Khartoum on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/sudan-doctors-death-toll-now-at-113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">June 3<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On June 10, the TMC ordered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/junta-sudan-internet-shutdown-will-continue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shut-down of the internet<\/a> in the country for an indefinite period of time, claiming it formed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dabangasudan.org\/en\/all-news\/article\/spa-sudan-digitally-isolated-by-arbitrary-tmc-internet-blackout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a threat to national security<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, the internet service returned to work on smart phones.
