People living in the capitals of River Nile state, Red Sea state, and North Kordofan are complaining about “a severe bread and fuel crisis”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Long lines returned in front of bakeries and fuel stations in Atbara, Port Sudan, and El Obeid since the start of the Eid El Adha (the Muslim Feast of the Sacrifice) last Sunday.<\/p>\n

“Often, we are even waiting in vain for our daily bread to come,” a listener told Radio Dabanga from El Obeid.<\/p>\n

“It is even worse in most of the localities in the state, where many people have not seen bread for months now.”<\/p>\n

The source added that the fuel crisis is driving up the price of travel bus tickets again, and that the authorities have re-imposed fuel quotas, “after a hiatus of months”.<\/p>\n
